Booking a Hotel for Our Sister’s Wedding

After my sister had said that she would be getting married in her husband to be’s home town, my family and I started looking for some glasgow hotels on the internet. We didn’t want to pay too much so we went through the travel lodge route but couldn’t bring ourselves to do it. We’d never thought much of the travel lodges we had been to in the past so we didn’t really want a special occasion like a family member’s wedding to be in a place like that. In the end, we went for a more up market one. We wanted to treat ourselves since it was such a rare occurrence that a family member got married and we thought it would be a good opportunity to see some of Scotland’s beautiful scenery. It was a great hotel and the staff were really friendly. I would definitely recommend that place.

I Got a Stocking Stand As a White Elephant Gift

It was hilarious last year at our company Christmas party. We were asked to bring a white elephant gift. I had to ask to find out what in the world a white elephant gift even was. But once I did; I found out it is basically a comical gift. Almost like a gag gift. I thought it was funny that some people brought real nice gifts and some did bring gag gifts. I brought a 8X10 autographed picture of myself; and received a stocking stand in exchange. I felt bad for whoever got my picture, but I was really happy I got the stocking stand. I love it. It is cast iron and real solid and heavy. Not like a little one that will fall apart in no time at all. Another good point is the fact that it folds flat for storage between holidays. Anything that saves space is a good thing in my little apartment.
